Uncle Jon’s Music is a family-owned retail music store and service center. We are lifelong Westmont residents and pride ourselves on offering quality products at fair prices and extra special customer service. We’re family-owned and operated

Jon Sr. and Jr. co-own the shop and are the ones you’ll most likely see behind the counter. When we need a little extra help you might see Joan, Michael, or Susie. Either way, you’re bound to run into a Kostal!

We’re musicians

Jon Sr. and Jr. play live music in The Flat Clats, a popular Chicagoland jazz and swing ensemble. Other family groups include the Ice Cream Vendors, All Things Lucid, The Hawaiian Combo, and Susie & The Snoozers (to name a few). We have professional experience performing and this offers a unique insight into helping you find the perfect instrument!

We want you to have a terrific shopping experience and strive to provide the best service possible. If your instrument has a problem bring it into the store and we’ll get it fixed for you or offer helpful advice. From getting the right instrument for you, to helping maintian and repair your instrument, to your musical education, we will be there for you every step of the way.

We are involved in and support our surrounding community

We sponsor local events such as Taste of Westmont and Westmont Cruisin’ Nights, and support schools in our community such as Manning, Miller, Maerker, and Westmont Jr./Sr. High. In addition, we have supported the Westmont Public Library, Jaycees, Lions Club, Knights of Columbus, Park District, and many more. We enjoy doing business with local, independently owned and operated businesses like ours, and take pride in putting on special events such as our annual Hot Dog Party and Restring for Food.
